PRODUCT FAQ
Q. Who is likely to benefit from a rye grass flower pollen extract and quercetin supplement?
Studies suggest that men who experience pelvic or genital discomfort, and lower urinary tract symptoms, including frequent and/or urgent urination, and weak or interrupted urinary stream may benefit from the use of rye grass pollen extract and quercetin.* Benefits have been noted as early as one month after beginning a rye grass flower pollen or quercetin supplement.
Q. What is the difference between the Theralogix "Prostate" products (Prostate 2.4, Prostate PQ, and Prostate SR).
Each Prostate product contains different ingredients for different prostate benefits. Depending on your needs, you can take one, or up to all three prostate products.
Prostate 2.4 contains vitamin E, vitamin D, selenium, lycopene, and soy, and is for general prostate health.*
Prostate PQ contains a rye grass flower pollen extract and quercetin to support a healthy immune response.*
Prostate SR contains a saw palmetto extract and phytosterol blend (beta-sitosterol) and promotes healthy urinary tract function.*
Q. How long should I take Prostate PQ?
Prostate PQ is designed for continuous, long-term use. Studies have shown that rye grass flower pollen extract and quercetin supplements may improve pelvic and genital discomfort after one month of consistent use, with additional improvements up to and continued after approximately six months of consistent use.*
Q. Does Prostate PQ contain bee pollen?
No. Prostate PQ does not contain bee pollen. Prostate PQ contains Graminex® rye grass flower pollen extract, grown in Ohio. It does not come from bees.
Q. I am allergic to pollen. Is it safe to take this?
Yes. The Graminex® rye grass flower pollen extract in Prostate PQ is non-allergenic. Allergens collect on the outside of the pollen grain. During the extraction process of the pollen, this outside part is filtered out, leaving only the inner, non-allergenic nutrients.
Q. Will rye grass flower pollen extract and quercetin shrink the prostate?
No. Neither flower pollen nor quercetin has been shown to affect prostate size.
Q. Are there side effects from Prostate PQ?
No. There are no expected side effects from Prostate PQ.
Yes. Prostate PQ can be taken along with other nutritional supplements such as multivitamins, omega-3 fish oils, cranberry, glucosamine, chondroitin and others.
Q. Does Prostate PQ interact with any prescription medications?
Yes. As with any dietary supplement, it is recommended you discuss with your pharmacist and or health care team to clarify whether Prostate PQ can be taken along with your medications.
Do not take Prostate PQ while taking these medications:
Quinolone Antibiotics (ciprofloxacin (Cipro), levofloxacin (Levaquin), ofloxacin (Floxin), moxifloxacin (Avelox), gatifloxacin (Tequin): Quercetin may interfere with the effectiveness of quinolone antibiotics. Do not take Prostate PQ while taking these antibiotics.
Speak with your health care provider or pharmacist before starting Prostate PQ if you are taking:
Antihypertensive Drugs (blood pressure medications): Quercetin can modestly decrease blood pressure in people with mild hypertension. Theoretically, it might have additive blood pressure lowering effects when used with antihypertensive drugs and increase the risk of hypotension. Monitor your blood pressure closely.
Cyclosporine (Neoral, Sandimmune): These medications are used to prevent rejection of grafts and transplants and to treat antiarthritic and psoriasis. The quercetin in Prostate PQ may increase blood levels and prolong the half-life of a single dose of cyclosporine. Use with caution.
