Q. How is ProCerv HP different than other multivitamin and mineral supplements?

ProCerv HP is a complete multivitamin and mineral supplement with higher doses of B vitamins and certain antioxidants, as well as phytonutrients (green tea extract and indole-3-carbinol). This unique, high-potency nutrient blend is different from other multivitamin/mineral supplements and is specifically formulated to support a healthy immune system.*


Q. Are there any side effects from taking ProCerv HP?

No. There are no expected side effects from ProCerv HP. ProCerv HP capsules are typically well-tolerated..


Q. Can I take ProCerv HP if I am pregnant?

No. We do not recommend taking ProCerv HP during pregnancy. If you are pregnant, we recommend you take a high-quality prenatal vitamin, such as TheraNatal Complete or TheraNatal One, throughout your pregnancy. If you have been taking ProCerv HP and find out you are pregnant, we recommend that you switch. Once you have your baby, you can discuss with your healthcare provider whether you should resume ProCerv HP.


Q. Can I take ProCerv HP with my other supplements?

A. Yes. Most other supplements, including omega-3, calcium, cranberry or glucosamine and chondroitin, can be taken with ProCerv HP. Do not take another multivitamin along with ProCerv HP.


Q. How long should I take ProCerv HP?

A. ProCerv HP is intended for consistent, continual use, based on your health and what your healthcare provider recommends.


Q. What is Indole-3-Carbinol (I3C)?

I3C is a phytonutrient (plant nutrient) found in cruciferous vegetables (includes broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, collard greens, kale and others).


Q. What is Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG)?

Green tea is a rich source of antioxidant phytonutrients called catechin polyphenols. EGCG is the primary polyphenol in green tea.


Q. Does ProCerv HP contain caffeine?

Yes. ProCerv HP contains a very small amount of caffeine (12 mg per daily dose of three capsules), which is naturally occurring as part of the green tea extract. This amount of caffeine would be found in approximately 2 teaspoons of Starbucks® brewed coffee or 12 Hershey's Kisses®.


Q. Why does ProCerv HP have an odor?

The combination of vitamins and minerals along with the phytonutrients, specifically indole 3 carbinol (I3C), sometimes results in an unpleasant odor. This is a natural occurrence of the nutrients in the product and ProCerv HP is safe to take.


Q: Can I take ProCerv HP if I'm allergic to shellfish?

Yes. There is no shellfish in ProCerv HP. If you have reacted to radiocontrast material or antiseptics which contain iodine, you may still be able to safely take Theralogix multivitamins even though they contain iodine. These reactions are commonly confused with sensitivity to iodine or shellfish, though studies have shown that they are not related.


Q. Does ProCerv HP interact with any prescription medications or other supplements?

Yes. ProCerv HP may affect the absorption of certain prescription medications.

Separate by at least 2 hours:

Captopril
Digoxin
Dilantin (phenytoin)
Levofloxacin (Levaquin)
Oral bisphosphonates (i.e., Fosamax, Actonel, Boniva, and Didronel)
Penicillamine (Cuprimine, Depen)
Sotalol (Betapace)
Tamoxifen

Separate by at least 4 hours:

Tetracycline antibiotics (doxycycline, minocycline, demeclocycline)
Thyroid hormone (levothyroxine, Synthroid)

Separate by at least 6 hours:

Ciprofloxacin (Cipro)

Check with your doctor due if you take the following medications:

Anticonvulsant medications
Moxifloxacin (Avelox)
Chemotherapy medications
Pyrimethamine
CYP34 substrates
Digoxin
Diltiazem
Thiazide diuretics (hydrochlorothiazide)
Verapamil
Antineoplastic (bortezomib, irinotecan, tamoxifen, doxorubicin, 5-fluorouracil, sunitinib)
Antihypertensive (diltiazem, verapamil, nicardipine)
Antipsychotic (clozapine)
Anesthesia (midazolam)
Antiplatelet drugs (aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), dipyridamole (Persantine), ticlopidine (Ticlid), and others)
Anticoagulant drugs (ardeparin (Normiflo), dalteparin (Fragmin), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, and warfarin (Coumadin))
CYP1A2 substrates (Clozapine®, Flexeril®, Luvox®, Haldol®, Toframil®, Mexitil®, Zyprexa®, Talwin Nx®, Inderal®, Zyflo®, Theophylline®, and Zomig®)

Dietary supplements:

Do not take ProCerv HP with other multivitamins. If you take a single-nutrient supplement (such as calcium,), check your total intake from all supplements, including ProCerv HP, to ensure you do not take more than the safe upper limit of the nutrient.
