What is the difference between TheraNatal One and TheraNatal Complete?
TheraNatal Complete is our most comprehensive prenatal in three pills per day. It includes everything in TheraNatal One, plus extra vitamin B6 to reduce pregnancy-related nausea, 250 mg of choline to support healthy brain development, and several other key nutrients for pregnancy.*

Can I continue taking TheraNatal One after pregnancy?
If you are planning to breastfeed, TheraNatal Lactation Complete is specifically formulated to meet your unique nutrients needs while breastfeeding. If you will be breastfeeding for at least several months, it is better to switch to TheraNatal Lactation Complete while breastfeeding instead of continuing with TheraNatal One.
If you are NOT planning to breastfeed, we recommend transitioning to a women's multivitamin like Essentia once you finish taking TheraNatal One.
What is the source of DHA in TheraNatal One?

Can I take TheraNatal One if I’m allergic to fish?

If you have reacted to radiocontrast material or antiseptics that contain iodine, you may still be able to safely take TheraNatal One, even though it contains iodine. These reactions are commonly confused with a sensitivity to iodine or shellfish, though studies have shown that they are not related.
Can I take other nutritional supplements along with TheraNatal One?
Does TheraNatal One interact with any prescription medications?
Antibiotics: Taking iron (in TheraNatal One) with antibiotics can decrease their absorption and effectiveness. Depending on which antibiotic is prescribed, you may need to separate TheraNatal One from the antibiotic, as indicated below.
Levodopa, Carbidopa: Taking iron (in TheraNatal One) might decrease the absorption of these medications. Take at separate times of the day.
Oral Bisphosphonates (i.e., alendronate (Fosamax), etidronate (Didronel), risedronate (Actonel), ibandronate (Boniva), tiludronate (Skelid)): Iron (in TheraNatal One) can decrease the absorption of these medications. Separate by at least 2 hours.
Penicillamine (Cuprimine, Depen): Iron (in TheraNatal One) may decrease the absorption of this medication. Separate by 2 hours.
Thyroid hormone (levothyroxine, Synthroid): Minerals in TheraNatal One can decrease how much of the medication is absorbed. Separate TheraNatal One and thyroid hormone by at least 4 hours.
Medications for overactive thyroid (methimazole, propylthiouracil): Iodine (in TheraNatal One) might change the effects of these medications. Consult with your healthcare provider if you’re taking medication for an overactive thyroid along with TheraNatal One.
