Turmeric, also known as Indian saffron, turmeric root, or Curcuma longa, is a plant native to Southeast Asia.

Turmeric contains a whole family of plant compounds called “curcuminoids,” and research has linked most of the health benefits of turmeric to one specific curcuminoid: curcumin.* Curcumin is an antioxidant that helps support joint and heart health, plus healthy insulin and blood sugar levels.*
