    • What are omega-3 fatty acids?
Omega-3 fatty acids are essential polyunsaturated fats, and research shows that they’re beneficial for your health.* There are three main types of omega-3 fatty acids:

    • Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA)
    • Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA)
    • Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA)

ALA is plentiful in plant foods like flaxseeds, chia seeds, walnuts, and some vegetable oils. EPA and DHA are found in fatty fish such as salmon, mackerel, tuna, and herring. EPA and DHA are the most studied omega-3s and are particularly beneficial for your health.* Your body can convert ALA to EPA and DHA, but this process is inefficient. So, the only way to support healthy EPA and DHA levels in the body is through your diet or an omega-3 supplement.

Those who don’t eat fish regularly may want to consider an omega-3 supplement.

    • How is TherOmega different from other omega-3 supplements?
    • Independently tested and certified. TherOmega is certified by NSF® International for content accuracy and the International Fish Oil Standards (IFOS) program for exceptional purity and freedom from contaminants, including mercury, lead, and PCBs. It has continually received the highest rating of five stars from IFOS, which reflects its exceptional quality, purity, and safety.

    • Ultra pure + sustainable. TherOmega contains AlaskOmega®, a highly purified omega-3 fish oil concentrate that’s sustainably sourced from wild-caught Alaska pollock from the Bering Sea and Gulf of Alaska. It’s molecularly distilled and steam deodorized for optimal freshness and clean taste.

    • Quality you can trust. TherOmega is manufactured in the USA in a cGMP compliant facility.
    • Should I take TherOmega if I eat fish?
Healthy individuals who eat fatty fish at least twice per week may not need a daily omega-3 supplement. However, those who don’t like fish or who do not regularly eat fish or seafood may benefit from adding an omega-3 supplement to their daily routine.

Talk with your healthcare provider about the dose of DHA + EPA that’s best for you.

How much EPA and DHA per day is safe?
Statements from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and European Food Safety Authority suggest that doses up to 5 grams (5,000 mg) of EPA and DHA per day are safe.* Consult with your healthcare provider to find out how much EPA and DHA you should take each day.
Can I take TherOmega if I'm allergic to fish?
TherOmega contains omega-3 fish oil derived from wild-caught Alaska pollock. If you are allergic to fish, TherOmega may not be safe for you. Consult your allergist and/or healthcare team.

Should I take TherOmega if I have an upcoming surgery?
Some healthcare providers may recommend discontinuing any omega-3 supplements for a period of time prior to surgery. If you have an upcoming surgery, talk with your healthcare provider to find out if you should stop taking TherOmega for a short time.
Can I take other nutritional supplements with TherOmega?
Yes. Most other supplements can be taken along with TherOmega, including Essentia, Solo, Ovasitol, OptiFlex Complete, Canabrex, and Theratonin.
Does TherOmega interact with any prescription medications?
The list below includes some of the more common potential interactions. This is not meant to be a comprehensive list or take the place of advice from your healthcare provider. As with any dietary supplement, discuss with your pharmacist and/or healthcare team to determine whether TherOmega can be taken with your medications.

Antiplatelet/anticoagulant drugs (aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), dalteparin (Fragmin), dipyridamole (Persantine), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, ticlopidine (Ticlid), and warfarin (Coumadin)): These medications slow blood clotting. Taking high-dose EPA and DHA (more than 5 grams per day) along with an antiplatelet or anticoagulant drug may increase the risk of bleeding.

High blood pressure medications: High doses of fish oil may modestly lower blood pressure when used alongside medications for high blood pressure.

Orlistat (Xenical, Alli): These medications reduce fat absorption and may decrease the absorption of omega-3 fatty acids. Separate from TherOmega by at least 2 hours.
