Ubiquinone and ubiquinol are the two forms of CoQ10. They’re known as a redox pair, meaning they are easily converted back and forth in your cells depending on which form is needed.

Although you may have seen claims that ubiquinol is better absorbed, this is not supported by scientific research. Research shows that when you take a ubiquinol supplement, it is actually converted to ubiquinone before being absorbed in your intestines. Alkylating agents (chemotherapy drugs: busulfan, carboplatin, cisplatin, cyclophosphamide, dacarbazine, thiotepa, etc.): Coenzyme Q10 is an antioxidant and may lower the effectiveness of some medications used to treat cancer.

Coumadin (warfarin): CoQ10 may decrease the effects of this medication. Be sure to have your INR checked regularly if taking NeoQ10 with this medication.
