LATEST RESEARCH UPDATE: A recent secondary analysis of a prospective cohort from the Effects of Aspirin in Gestation and Reproduction assessed associations between preconception 25(OH)D levels and fecundability, pregnancy loss, and live birth rates among women age 18-40 years, with one to two previous pregnancy losses, trying to conceive. The frequency of hCG-detected pregnancies, clinical pregnancies, and live births was significantly higher among women with sufficient preconception 25(OH)D levels. This study highlights the potential protective role of vitamin D in promoting fertility and pregnancy. For more information, check out the full abstract here.
